Senate probe sa healthcare workers’ ban inihirit ni Sen. Nancy Binay

Hiniling ni Senator Nancy Binay na maimbestigahan sa Senado ang ipinatutupad na pagbabawal ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) at Inter-Agency Task Force sa mga Filipino health care workers na makapag-trabaho sa ibang bansa.

Ayon kay Binay gusto niyang malaman kung ano ang dahilan o pinagbasehan ng temporary deployment ban.

Inihain ng senadora ang Senate Resolution No. 514 matapos pigilan ang ilang Filipino nurses na makalipad sa United Kingdom para sa nakuha nilang mga trabaho sa kabila na rin ng pagkakaroon nila ng exemption sa deployment ban.

Umapila na rin ang Philippine Nurses Association na payagan ang may 600 nurses na makalabas ng bansa.

Diin ni Binay hindi maaring gawin ‘hostage’ ng gobyerno ang ating healthcare workers na nais kumita ng malaki sa ibang bansa para buhayin ang kanilang pamilya.

Nagpatupad ang IATF ng deployment ban noong Agosto sa kagustuhan na madagdagan ang medical and allied health professionals na magta-trabaho sa bansa bilang bahagi ng pagtugon ng gobyerno sa kasalukuyang pandemiya.
