BI, ipatutupad ang deportation order vs Pemberton

Ipapatupad ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang inilabas na deportation order laban kay US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton na nabigyan ng absolute pardon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Si Pemberton na na-convict sa kasong homicide dahil sa pagpatay sa Filipina transgender na si Jennifer Laude noong 2014.

Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, humiling na niya si Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director Gerald Bantag na dalhin si Pemberton sa BI oras na palayain na ito sa kulungan.

Aniya, ito ay para maipatupad na ang deportation nito at agad makumpleto ang deportation proceedings nito.

Ipinaliwanag ni Morente na mandato ng ahensya na ipatupad ang inilabas na summary deportation order laban kay Pemberton noong September 16, 2015 dahil sa pagiging undesirable alien nito.

“At any rate, we are awaiting instructions from our Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra for guidance on how we will implement the deportation order in a manner that is within the prescribed laws of the country,” pahayag paa nito.

Ayon naman kay Atty. Arvin Santos, hepe ng BI Legal Division, ang mga dayuhan na dadaan sa deportation ay kailangang magsumite ng clearances mula sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at regional trial court bilang katibayan na wala na itong nakabinbing kaso.

Oras na makumpleto ang mga requirement, sinabi ni Santos na aayusin na ng BI ang schedule ng flight ng deportee.

Sasamahan aniya ang dayuhan sa paliparan ng BI intelligence agents at civil security personnel na magtu-turnover sa airline bago ito maisakay sa eroplano.
