Panukalang stockpiling ng mga bakuna pasado na sa komite sa Kamara

Pasado na sa House Committee on Health ang stockpiling ng mga bakuna tulad ng para sa COVID-19 at iba pang critical drugs at medical supplies.

Sa ilalim ng House Bill 6995, bubuo ang Department of Health (DOH) ng “Health Procurement and Stockpiling Bureau” na siyang titiyak sa stockpiling, conservation at mamamahala sa access at paglalabas ng sapat na bilang ng bakuna, medical devices at iba pang kagamitang kakailanganin tuwing may public health emergency.

Ang suplay para sa mga kakailanganing bakuna, medical devices at supplies ay kukunin sa local sources.

Lilikha din ang DOH ng stockpiling fund kung saan maaaring magsolicit ng donasyon at magsagawa ng fund-raising activities at ang proceeds o makokolektang pondo dito ay ililibre sa pagbabayad ng income tax, donor’s tax at iba pang uri ng buwis.

Sinabi ni House Committee on Health Chairp Angelina Tan, may-akda ng panukala na mahalagang mapaigting ang paghahanda sa anumang pandemya at natural disasters.

Tinukoy ni Tan na ang COVID-19 pandemic ay naka-apekto sa produksyon at distribusyon ng mga pharmaceuticals at medical devices sa buong mundo.

Bukod dito, nabitin din ang suplay ng mga raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, packaging materials at finished medical products na makakatulong sana agad sa paglaban sa COVID-19 at iba pang sakit.
