Binuksan na ang laboratoryo sa Las Piñas City na kayang magproseso ng tests para sa coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Ang laboratoryo ay matatagpuan sa Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGH-STC).
Ang pamilya ni Senator Cynthia Villar ang nag-donate ng mga gamit para sa COVID-19 laboratory.
Pumasa na sa assessment ang GeneXpert at real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) machines ng laboratoryo.
Nakapasa din ang mga staff ng laboratoryo sa proficiency exam.
Sa susunod na linggo sasailalim naman sila sa proficiency exam sa paggamit ng RT-PCR COVID-19 testing machine.
Donasyon ng Villar Family ang laboratory freezer, biological refrigerator, autoclave sterilizer, at pass box sa laboratoy.
Habang ang RT-PCR machine naman ay mula sa San Miguel Foundation.
