P148M na halaga ng mga smuggled na produkto nakumpiska sa Port of Cebu

Nakumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Port of Cebu ang mga smuggled na produkto na tinatayang aabot sa halos P148 million ang halaga.

Ang mga nakumpiskang items ay pawang underdeclared, misdeclared, at undervalued na mga kargamento.

Kabilang sa mga nakumpiska ay mga bigas, used engines, hotel sundries at sigarilyo.

Ayon kay Atty. Charlito Martin Mendoza, Port of Cebu acting district collector, natuklasan ang mga kargamento sa mahigpit na pagbusisi ng mga tauhan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service, Enforcement and Security Service, X-ray Inspection Project Team, and Assessment Division.
