P4.6-M halaga ng marijuana sinira sa Asturias, Cebu
Sinira ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang mahigit P4.6 milyong halaga ng marijuana sa Cebu, Martes ng umaga (September 8).
Ayon sa PDEA – Central Visayas (PDEA RO7), isinagawa ang marijuana eradication sa bahagi ng Barangay Kaluangan sa bayan ng Asturias dakong 7:10 ng umaga.
Sinira sa operasyon ang humigit-kumulang 11,600 fully grown suspected marijuana plants na nagkakahalaga ng P4,640,000.
Ang nasabing plantation site ay may lawak na 800 square meters.
Nakatakas naman ang cultivator na si Eduardo Camuangay alyas “Edie.”
Kasong paglabag sa Section 16, Article 2 ng Republic Act 9165 ang isasampa laban sa suspek.
