SM Mall of Asia, pinadalhan ng notice of violation ng DENR dahil sa pagtatapon ng maruming tubig sa Manila Bay

Pinadalhan ng notice of violation ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang SM Mall of Asia at ang Central Business District nito dahil sa pagtatapon ng maruming tubig sa Manila Bay.

Sa panayam ng Radyo INQUIRER, sinabi ni DENR Spokesperson, Undersecretary Benny Antiporda na kailangang makapagpaliwanag ng maayos ang SM.

Sasailalim aniya ito sa technical conference at kapag nabigo ang SM na maidepensa ang sarili ay maaring maisyuhan ng cease and desist order at maipasara ang SM Mall of Asia at ang CBD nito.

“Ang Shoe Mart naisyuhan ng notice of violation, yung MOA at CBD nila
magkakaroon tayo ng techincal conference, kapag hidni sila nakasagot ng maayos, bakit sila nagtatapon maruming tubig sa Manila Bay, isasara sila,” ayon kay Atiporda.

Nagalit na aniya si Environment Sec. Roy Cimatu sa ginawa ng SM kaya ito na mismo ang nag-utos na isyuhan ng notice of violation ang SM MOA.

“Nagalit si Sec. Roy Cimatu, sabi niya isyuhan na ‘yan at kung kailangang ipasara kapag hindi nakapagpaliwanag iisyuhan sila ng cease and desist order,” dagdag ni Antiporda.
