Karagdagang 1,000 jeep, bibiyahe sa mga ruta sa Metro Manila
Simula sa Miyerkules, Setyembre 9, madadagdagan pa ng 1,000 ang pampasaherong jeep na bibiyahe sa iba’t ibang ruta sa Metro Manila.
Ayon sa Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board o LTFRB, ang 1,006 jeep ay may mga rutang; Edsa/North Avenue – Quezon City Hall, Marcos Avenue – Quirino Highway via Tandang Sora, Dapitan – Libertad via L. Guinto, Divisoria – Retiro via Jose Abad Santos, Divisoria – Sangandaan, Libertad – Washington, Baclaran – Escolta via Jones, L. Guinto, Baclaran – QI via Mabini, Blumentritt – Libertad via Quiapo at L. Guinto, at Blumentritt – Vito Cruz via L. Guinto.
Kailangan lang na ‘road-worthy’ o nasa maayos na kondisyon ang mga jeep na pinayagan na muling makapasada at kailangan din ay may passengers’ insurance policy at bilang patunay na maaari silang bumiyahe ay dapat may QR code na mula sa LTFRB.
Dapat ding sumunod sa basic health and safety protocols na ipinag-uutos ng IATF para sa mga pampublikong sasakyan.
Sa ngayon, may 16,214 PUJs na bumibiyahe sa 178 routes sa Metro Manila, bukod pa sa 786 modern PUJs sa 45 ruta.
Bumibiyahe rin ang 3,761 bus units sa 32 ruta at 379 point to point buses sa 34 ruta.
Mayroon ding 1,906 UV Express units sa 59 ruta, 20,891 taxis at 23,968 TNVS.
