Aerial search operations, isasagawa para sa nawawalang barko sa Japan

Iniulat ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) na magsasagawa ang Japanese Coast Guard ng aerial search operations para sa nawawalang Panamanian-flagged cargo vessel sa Japan.

“As the area is still pounded by gusty winds, search by patrol boat is not possible at this time,” pahayag ng kagawaran.

Umaasa pa rin ang DFA na matatagpuan ang iba pang Filipino seafarers na sakay ng barko.

Patuloy ding tinututukan at nakikipag-ugnayan ang Philippine Embassy sa Tokyo, Philippine Consulate General sa Osaka at Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) sa Japanese Coast Guard ukol sa sitwasyon.

Nakikipag-ugnayan din ang kagawaran sa shipowner at manning agency para ipaabot ang suporta sa mga Filipino seafarer at kani-kanilang pamilya.
