P29.65-M halaga ng misdeclared crusher machine, nasamsam ng BOC sa Batangas
Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Batangas ang 11 containers ng knocked down crusher machine.
Naka-consign ang kargamento na may estimated value na P29.65 million sa Merchamps Empire Ltd. Co. na iprinoseso ng lisensyadong Customs Broker na si Daryl Santos.
Mula Shanghai, China dumating ang kargamento sa Port of Batangas noong August 11, 2020.
Idineklara ito bilang Steel Prefab Frame at Crusher Machine Spare Parts.
Ngunit sa isinagawang spot-check examination, lumabas na knocked down crush machine ang laman ng kargamento.
Bunsod nito, naglabas ng Alert Order si District Collector Atty. Ma. Rhea Gregorio noong August 18.
Matapos ang eksaminasyon sa containers, nakumpirma na ang laman ng mga ito ay Cone Crusher, Sand Washing Machine, Feeder, Low Voltage Power Distribution, Counters, Cable, Mantle, Concave, Ball Tile, Cone Head, Sealing, Pressure Ring, Pressure Cap, Lock Bolt, Spring Seat, Bolts, Locking Cylinder, Protective Cylinder, Jaw Crusher, Screen, Conveyor, Hopper, Steel Frames, Discharge Hopper, Jaw Plates, Lining Plates, Toggle, V- belts, Toggle Seat, Foundry Weight, Tension rods, Springs and Screen Mesh.
Ang mga nabanggit na parte ay magiging crusher machine kapag binuo.
Inisyu ang Warrant of Seizure and Detention laban sa subject shipment dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1400 “Misdeclaration, Misclassification, and Undervaluation in Goods Declaration” na may kinalaman sa Section 1113 “Property Subject Seizure and Forfeiture” ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
