LOOK: K9 units ipinakalat sa MRT stations para matiyak ang seguridad ng publiko
Kasunod ng pagpapasabog na naganap sa Jolo, Sulu mas naghigpit pa ng seguridad sa mga istasyon ng tren sa Metro Manila.
Sa MRT-3 may mga K9 units na nag-iikot sa mga istasyon.
Layon nitong siguruhin ang seguridad at kaligtasan ng mga pasahero sa pampublikong transportasyon.
Ayon sa pamunuan ng MRT-3, bilang tugon ito sa direktiba ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur P. Tugade na mas paigtingin ang seguridad sa mga public transportation sa buong Metro Manila matapos ang nangyaring kambal na pagsabog sa Jolo.
Umiikot mula North Avenue station hanggang Taft Avenue station (both bounds) ang mga K9 handlers at working dogs upang inspeksyunin ang seguridad sa loob ng MRT-3 premises.
Nakasuot naman ng full personal protective equipment (PPE) ang mga K9 handlers upang mapanatiling ligtas sila kontra sa virus.
