Pagtakda ng SRP sa gadgets pinag-aaralan pa ng DTI

Inaasahan na anumang araw ay maglalabas na ang Department of Trade and Industry ng desisyon kung kinakailangan na magkaroon ng suggested retail price sa mga gadget partikular na sa laptop.

Ayon kay Trade Sec. Ramon Lopez, ang kanilang Consumer Protection Group ang kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ng pag-aaral ukol sa presyo ng mga gadget.

Pag-amin ng kalihim na nag-aalangan sila na magpataw ng SRP sa mga gadget dahil magkakaiba ang ‘specifications’ ng mga laptop, nangangahulugan na ang SRP ay hindi para sa lahat.

Ngunit aniya ang kanilang pinag-aaralan ngayon ay kung sakaling magkakaroon ng SRP ay limitado lang sa ‘basic features’ ng laptops.

Diin ni Lopez marami kasing opsyon para sa mga konsyumer, gayundin marami ang suppliers na maaring pagpiian.

Batid naman ng kagawaran na sumisirit ang benta ng gadgets dahil sa online learning, gayundin sa work from home arrangement.
