Sec. Duque, Morales at iba pang opisyal ng PhilHealth, ipinaasunto ng Senado

Kasama sina Health Secretary Francisco Duque III at resigned PhilHealth President Ricardo Morales sa mga opisyal ng PhilHealth na inirekomenda ng mga senador na sampahan ng iba’t ibang kaso.

Inilahad ni Senate President Vicente Sotto III ang committee report ng Senate Committee of the Whole, na nagsagawa ng tatlong pagdinig sa mga diumano’y anomalya sa ahensiya.

Nag-ugat ang rekomendasyon sa mga anomalya sa Interim Reimbursement Mechanism, sa overpriced na information and communication system, ang pag-doktor sa financial status, maging sa tanggapan ng legal sektor ng PhilHealth.

22 senador ang pumirma sa committee report, maliban kina Sen. Koko Pimentel at Sen. Leila de Lima.

Ilan sa mga opisyal, kasama sina Duque at Morales, ay hiniling ng mga senador na sampahan ng mga kaso malversation of public funds, illegal use of public funds at paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Inirekomenda din ang paghahain ng mga kasong administratibo laban sa mga ilang opisyal kasama pa rin si Morales.
