Lt. Gen. Camilo Cascolan, napili ni Pangulong Duterte bilang susunod na hepe ng PNP
May napili na si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na bagong hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
Ayon kay Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, ito ay si Police Lt. General Camilo Cascolan.
Papalitan ni Cascolan si PNP Chief General Archie Gamboa na magreretiro na sa serbisyo.
Sinabi naman ni Interior Secretary Eduardo Año na magiging epektibo ang panunungkulan ni Cascolan sa September 2.
Ayon kay Año, inaprubahan at nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Duterte ang appointment paper.
Kinumpirma na rin ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang ang pagtatalaga ng pangulo kay Cascolan bilang susunod na PNP chief.
“We are confident that the incoming Chief of the PNP would continue the significant strides made by his predecessors in making the PNP a professional organization worthy of our people’s trust,” ani Roque.
Naging author si Cascolan ng Oplan Double Barrel ng PNP.
