DPWH Bicol, nakatanggap ng mga karagdagang kagamitan para sa calamity response
Nakatanggap ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office sa Bicol ng mga karagdagang heavy equipment para paigtingin ang disaster response operations.
Nai-turnover ng DPWH Bureau of Equipment (BOE) sa Bicol ang isang 16-meter reach amphibious excavator at tatlong units ng 10-cubic meter capacity dump trucks.
Noong buwan ng Hunyo, nai-deliver na rin ang dalawang units ng wheeled excavators, isang amphibious excavator, isang tractor head na may low bed trailer, isang truck mounted crane, at tatlong service pick-ups.
“These units form part of the P126 million worth of equipment allotted for this region as quick response to calamities and other disaster risk reduction activities,” pahayag ni DPWH Regional Director Virgilio Eduarte.
Samantala, inilunsad na ang bagong tayong Equipment Management Division/Albay 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) Guard House upang magsilbing istasyon para sa security enforcers na nakatalaga sa pagsasagawa ng round-the-clock surveillance sa seguridad ng mga pag-aari ng gobyerno.
