Alternative Learning System dapat palakasin ngayong may pandemya ayon kay Sen. Gatchalian

Naniniwala si Senator Sherwin Gatchalian na malaki ang maitutulong ng Alternative Learning System ng DepEd para mahikayat ang higit apat na milyon pang estudyante na hindi nagpa-enroll para sa klase ngayon taon.

Aniya malaki ang magagawa ng programa para makaagapay pa rin ang mga hindi nagpa-enroll at hindi sila mahuhuli kapag nagbalik na sa normal ang sektor ng edukasyon at nakabawi na ang ekonomiya.

Ngayon na napalawig pa ang pagsisimula ng klase, hinihikayat ng senador ang DepEd na ipursige ang pag-aalok ng ALS sa mga estudyante na delikadong mag-drop out ngayon taon at mahinto sa pag-aaral.

Ipinunto nito na maging ang enrollment sa ALS ay hindi pa umabot sa 50 porsiyento ng 738,929 na sumailalim sa programa noong nakaraang taon.

Ibinahagi pa ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Basic Education, may 24 milyon Filipino na may edad 15 pataas ang hindi man lang nakapagtapos ng high school.

Kayat diin ni Gatchalian napakahalaga ng ALS para hindi na lumubo pa ang bilang naman ng mga out of school youth.
