Sen. Nancy Binay pinababawi na sa POEA ang deployment ban sa healthcare workers

Hinikayat ni Senator Nancy Binay ang Philippine Overseas Employment Administration at ang Inter Agency Task Force na bawiin na ang deployment ban sa healthcare workers.

Diin ni Binay walang karapatan ang gobyerno na pigilan ang mga health worker kung nais nilang mag-trabaho sa ibang bansa para buhayin ang kanilang pamilya.

Aniya kung magmamatigas naman ang POEA sa deployment ban, dapat tiyakin ng gobyerno na may sapat na kompensasyon na maibibigay sa health workers.

Katuwiran ng senadora hindi rin naman gugustuhin ng health workers na malayo sa kanilang mga pamilya kung sapat ang kanilang kikitain kung dito sa bansa sila magta-trabaho.

Sinabi din ni Binay walang dapat ipangamba na magkukulang ng health workers sa bansa dahil aniya base sa datos ng DOH, higit 750,000 ang lisensiyadong medical professionals sa Pilipinas, kasama ang mga dentista, medical technologists, pharmacists, midwives at mga doktor.

Sa naturang bilang, 204, 437 lang ang ang nasa health sector nangangahulugan na higit kalahating milyon sa kanila ang hindi nagta-trabaho ayon sa kanilang natapos.
