Hot pursuit ops, ipinag-utos vs mga suspek sa pagpatay sa chief of police sa Carmen, Cotabato

Ipinag-utos ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Archie Gamboa ang pagkakasa ng hot pursuit operations para mahuli ang mga nasa likod ng pagpatay sa Chief of Police ng Carmen Municipal Police Station.

Nasawi si Police Major Joan Resurreccion makaraang mabaril ng isang suspek sa follow-up at hot pursuit operation sa Sitio Tawan-tawan Purok 4, Poblacion sa bahagi ng Carmen, araw ng Martes (August 25).

Nagparating ng pakikiramay si Gamboa sa naiwang pamilya ni Resurreccion.

“We would like to extend our condolences to the family of Police Major Resurreccion and I assure that the surviving kin that they will receive all PNP benefits due him,” ani Gamboa.

“This is an unfortunate day for us in the law enforcement service but their legacy as PNP’s modern day heroes will be always remembered,” dagdag pa ng PNP chief.

Makakatanggap ang pamilya ng nasawing pulis ng P250,000 mula sa President’s Social Fund; sa pagitan ng P141,000 hanggang P181,000 bilang Special Financial Assistance (SFA) mula sa PNP; burial benefits na nagkakahalaga ng P50,000; at P200,000 gratuity mula sa National Police Commission.
