Rekomendasyon na isailalim sa Martial Law ang Sulu ikinukunsidera ni Pangulong Duterte
Ikinukunsidera ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang rekomendasyon ni Philippine Army commanding General Lt. General Cirilito Sobejana na isailalim sa Martial Law ang Sulu matapos ang magkakasunod na pagsabog kamakailan.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, bagaman may rekomendasyon na, tiyak na bubusisiin naman ito ng husto ng Kongreso at ng Korte Suprema.
Nakikinig aniya ang pangulo sa mga suhestyon at rekomendasyon ng nga taong nasa ground.
“The President will of course consider this recommendation— as will the Congress and Supreme Court. Now, there will have to be notice. Congress has to be satisfied. This is without prejudice to the review… Although the recommendation has been made, it has to pass scrutiny of both legislative and judiciary,” ayon kay Roque.
Kasabay nito, sinabi ni Roque na agad na pinulong ni Pangulong Duterte ang mga matataaas na opisyal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at Philippine National Police matapos ang pagsabog noong Lunes at agad na nagbigay ng mga direktiba
Paliwanag ni Roque, hindi ba tinalakay ng pangulo sa Talk to the Nation ang usapin dahil pang seguridad ang isyu.
Hindi naman matukoy ni Roque kung bibisitahin ng pangulo ang mga pamilyang naulila sa pagsabog sa Jolo dahil sa sitwasyon.
Pero ang segurido aniya, nakikiramay ang pangulo at magbibigay ng pinansyal na ayuda.
Bibigyan din aniya ng sapat na pagkilala ang mga nasawi sa pagsabog.
