Spillover ng Sulu bombings sa Eastern Mindanao, malabo – AFP

Pinawi ni Lt. Gen. Jose Faustino Jr., commander ng Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom), ang mga pangamba na madamay ang rehiyon sa nangyaring pambobomba sa Jolo, Sulu.

Ngunit kasabay nito, tiniyak ni Faustino Jr., na nanatili ang kanilang buong puwersa sa full alert.

Inatasan na niya ang kanyang line unit commanders na paigtingin ang kanilang mga operasyong pang-seguridad para maiwasan ang ‘spillover’ ng magkasunod na pagsabog sa Jolo.

“The Command is also working closely with its adjacent military units and law enforcement agencies, especially with the PNP to stay on top of the situation to ensure the maximum safety of the public,” aniya.

Hinimok din ng opisyal ang publiko na maging mapagmatyag at agad iulat sa awtoridad ang mga kahina-hinalang kilos sa kanilang komunidad.

“It is in this moment that all of us need to be security-conscious and that we need to uphold even more our culture of security,” bilin pa nito.
