OFWs, inabisuhan ng POEA na sumunod sa COVID-19 protocols

Pinaalalahanan ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) ang mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW) na sumunod sa health protocols ng kanilang host country dahil sa pandemiya dulot ng COVID-19.

Sa inilabas na Advisory No. 121 Series of 2020 ng OWWA, layon lang nito na mapigilan pa ang pagkalat ng nakakahawang sakit.

“In view of the continuing spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on people’s health worldwide, and in respect to the measures being undertaken by host governments in preventing its spread, all overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are strongly advised to observe and comply with the health protocols being implemented at their respective job sites,” ang nakasaad sa abiso na pirmado ni POEA Administrator Bernard Olalia.

Kasama dito aniya ang pasunod sa social at physical distancing, ang pagsusuot ng mask, pag-iwas sa mga pagtitipon ng maraming tao at hindi naman mahalagang biyahe.

Paalala nito, ang pagsunod sa protocols ay para na rin makaiwas sa mga multa.

“Adherence thereto can also be seen as an act of caring for our fellowmen and a show of unity to the countries hosting our OFWs,” sabi pa ng opisyal.
