Palasyo, umaasang magiging totoo ang pag-aaral na magkakaroon ng flattening of the curve sa COVID-19 cases sa Setyembre

Umaasa ang Palasyo ng Malakanyang na magkakatotoo ang pag-aaral ng University of the Philippines (UP) na magkakaroon na ng flattening of the curve ng COVID-19 case sa bansa sa katapusan ng Setyembre.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, sana ay mas magiging mababa na ang kaso sa mga susunod na araw.

“Sana nga po mangyari ‘yun dahil ang inaantay lang nga po natin pagdating ng katapusan ng buwan na ito ay kung mas mababa po ang marerecord na kaso kung ikukumpara natin sa naging forecast ng UP study group. Kung hindi po ako nagkakamali parang 250,000 po ata ang kanilang forecast. We will reserve whether or not we will congratulate the Filipino people anew or better luck next time,” pahayag ni Roque.

Sinabi naman ni Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na patuloy na hinihimok ang publiko na sumunod sa minimum health standards para magkatotoo ang hula ng UP.

“On the question na kung tayo po ba ay darating sa punto na makapag-flatten ang curve by the time they have forecasted, as I’ve said I while ago nothing is certain at this point. We will wait and see if our recalibrated strategy would be effective or we still need to further these strategies so we can lower the cases and have our healthcare system breathe again,” pahayag ni Vergeire.
