DFA inalala si dating Senador Ninoy Aquino Jr.
Nakiisa ang Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa paggunita ng buong bansa sa Ninoy Aquino Day ngayong araw August 21 na death anniversary ni dating Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr.
Sa pahayag ng DFA, kinilala ang pagiging prominenteng Filipino journalist at politician ni Aquino.
Ayon sa DFA, ang pagpatay kay Aquino ay nagbunsod sa People Power Revolution noong 1986.
“Senator Aquino’s timeless declaration that “the Filipino is worth dying for,” is made even more relevant today as we reflect on our hopes, aspirations, and values as a community and a nation battling against a pandemic,” ayon sa DFA.
