Mga healthcare provider na may mga kaso, nakinabang din sa IRM ng PhilHealth
Aminado ang PhilHealth na nabigyan ng pondong nakalaan sa interim refund mechanism (IRM) ang healthcare facilities na may pending cases at violations.
Sa joint hearing ng House committees on public accounts at good government and public accountability, ginisa ni Cavite Rep. Elpidio Barzaga ang mga opisyal ng PhilHealth patungkol sa kanilang polisiya, kabilang na ang pamamahagi ng IRM funds sa iba’t ibang healthcare facilities sa bansa.
Inamin ni PhilHealth Senior Vice President Israel Francis Pargas na kahit may pending cases sa ahensya ang healthcare institutions (HCIs) ay nabibigyan pa rin ang mga ito ng emergency cash advance.
Ayon kay Pargas, ang sistemang ito ay napag-usapan sa executive committee meeting ng PhilHealth.
Sa nakalipas na pagdinig, sinabi ni Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Michael Defensor, chairman ng House committee on public accounts, na kabuuang P1.49-billion IRM funds ang naibigay sa 51 ospital na may pending fraudulent cases.
