7,999 capsule ng Downer drugs, nasabat sa Pasay City
Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs sa pamamagitan ng Port of NAIA ang 5.376 kilo ng Downer Drugs sa Pasay City.
Kabuuang 7,999 capsules ng Downer Drugs ang nakuha sa bahagi ng Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC).
Ayon sa BOC, naka-consign ang nakuhang Downer drugs sa isang “Sandeep Kumar.”
Kinumpirma ng mga miyembro ng Customs Anti- Illegal Drugs Taskforce (CAIDTF) at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) na “dextropropoxyphene” o downer drug ang kontrabando.
Nagpaalala naman si Port of NAIA District Collector Carmelita Talusan sa publiko na tiyaking lahat ng kargamento na inangkat papuntang Pilipinas ay may permits.
Aniya pa, ang pag-import ng anumang gamot ay kailangang may permit mula sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
