Study Now, Pay Later para sa mga security guard isinusulong sa Kamara
Itinutulak sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang ‘study now pay later’ para maitaas ang antas ng professionalism sa mga security guards.
Sa ilalim ng House Bill 7037 na inihain nila Majority Leader Martin Romualdez at Tingog Partylist Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez ay kinikilala ang kontribusyon ng mga security guards bilang ‘force multipliers’ sa pagtiyak ng peace and order at public security and safety.
Layunin nito na magpatupad ng mekanismo para maka-adapt sa mga pagbabago sa regulasyon at pamamahala sa private security industry at ang pagsunod sa kasanayan sa security profession.
Sa ilalim ng panukala, aatasan ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at ang Philippine National Police (PNP) na magpatupad ng ‘study now, pay later’ program sa mga private o public security training institutions na accredited ng gobyerno para sa training requirements na kakailanganin ng security guard, watchman o private detective.
Ang mga kwalipikadong mag-apply na license private security professional tulad ng private security guard o officer, private detective, protection agent o private security consultant ang sinumang Pilipino na nakapasa sa mga programa na nakasaad sa batas.
Nakasaad din sa panukala ang pagkakaloob ng Ladderized Training and Education Subsidy kung saan tutulungan ng estado ang isang security personnel sa kanyang training, courses at programs sa pinasukang private security institutions.
