Halos 50 porsyento ng COVID deaths, hindi na-ospital – Sen. Villanueva

Ikinalungkot ni Senator Joel Villanueva ang ulat ng Department of Health o DOH na halos kalahati ng bilang ng mga namatay sa bansa dahil sa COVID-19 ay hindi nadala sa ospital o anumang pasilidad.

Hinanapan ni Villanueva si Health Sec. Francisco Duque III ng paliwanag sa isyu.

Aniya, sa 2,681 naitalang COVID deaths sa bansa hanggang noong Lunes, 1,268 ang hindi na-ospital.

“This, as about seven out of 10 active COVID-19 cases categorized as critical (73 percent) are likewise not getting any treatment at medical facilities,” hirit pa nito.

Bunga nito, kinuwestiyon ni Villanueva kung may sapat na pasilidad para sa mga tinatamaan ng COVID-19 sa bansa.

Aniya, tatlo ang maaaring nangyayari, una ay walang ospital, pangalawa ay puno na ang ospital at ang pangatlo aniya na maaaring dahilan ay ayaw magpa-ospital ng pasyente dahil natatakot sa maaari nilang bayaran.
