Muling isasailalim ang Metro Manila sa general community quarantine (GCQ).

Sa public address, Lunes ng gabi (August 17), inanunsiyo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na iiral muli ang GCQ sa Metro Manila.

Maliban dito, balik-GCQ na rin ang Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna at Rizal.

Ipatutupad din ang GCQ sa Nueva Ecija, Batangas, Quezon sa Luzon; Iloilo City, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Talisay City, munisipalidad ng Minglanilla at Consolacion sa Cebu province sa Visayas

Malalagay naman sa modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) ang nalalabing parte ng bansa.

Ayon naman kay Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, epektibo ang nasabing bagong quarantine classifications mula August 19 hanggang August 31, 2020.
