Bilang ng mga tauhan ng Coast Guard na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 umabot na sa 859

Nadagdagan ng 96 pa ang bilang ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) na nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

Dahil dito ayon sa PCG, hanggang kahapon, August 16 ay 859 na ang total confirmed cases ng COVID-19 sa kanilang hanay.

Sa nasabing bilang, 708 na ang gumaling.

Dahil dito, 151 na lamang ang aktibong kaso o patuloy pang nagpapagamot.

Tiniyak ng Coast Guard na ang mga nagpopositibong tauhan ay agad naiaalis sa kanilang stations at nabibigyan ng medical assistance.

“The health condition of PCG frontline personnel are regularly monitored through various efforts such as swab testing amid the COVID-19 pandemic,” ayon sa PCG.

Sinusuplayan din sila ng PPE sets, at iba pang pangangailangang medikal.

Sa September 2020, magkakaroon na ng sariling quarantine facility ang PCG na kayang maka-accommodate ng hanggang 224 na frontline personnel.
