PNP, pinaigting ang kampanya vs cyberbullying

Ipinag-utos ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Archie Gamboa sa PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) ang pagpapaigting ng kampanya laban sa cyberbullying.

Batay sa consolidated report, nakapag-imbestiga na ang PNP-ACG ng 19 cyberbullying cases mula January 1, 2019 hanggang June 30, 2020.

Sinabi ng PNP-ACG na inaasahang tataas ang cyberbullying complaints dahil mas alam na ng mga biktima kung paano magre-report sa pamamagitan ng social media, phone numbers, at emails.

Hinikayat naman ni Gamboa ang mga magulang na i-report ang mga insidente ng cyberbullying.

“We urge our parents to monitor if there are changes in their child’s behavior. Should they confirm that their child has been victimized by a cyberbully or an online scammer, I encourage them to immediately identify the perpetrator and report it to the authorities,” pahayag ng PNP Chief.

Gumawa na ang PNP-ACG at Regional Anti-Cybercrime Units ng Facebook pages upang makatanggap ng mga ulat ng kaso ng cybercrimes tulad ng cyberbullying, fake news proliferation, online scams, online photo at video voyeurism, at iba pa.

“Aside from our frontliner operations against COVID-19 pandemic, we also intensified our cyber patrol operations and monitoring system against cybercrimes on social media and other interactive websites,” ayon pa kay Gamboa.
