Amerikanong pugante, nahuli ng BI sa Batangas

Ipapa-deport ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang nahuling Amerikanong pugante na may kinakaharap na kaso dahil sa assault at possession of deadly weapon.

Ayon kay Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente, nakilala ang dayuhan na si Peter Alex Drier, 45-anyos.

Naaresto ng mga tauhan ng BI Fugitve Search Unit (FSU) at Batangas police si Drier sa bahagi ng Barangay Dayap Itaas sa Laurel noong August 5.

Inilabas aniya ang mission order para maaresto si Drier kasunod ng kahilingan ng US embassy sa Manila.

Ipinaalam din ng US embassy sa BI na kanselado na ang pasaporte ng dayuhan kung kayat isa na itong undocumented alien.

“He will be deported for posing risk to public safety and security due to his profile as a fugitive from justice who used the Philippines as a refuge to evade prosecution for crimes he committed in his country,” ayon kay Morente.

Dagdag pa ng hepe ng BI, mapapasama rin si Drier immigration blacklist upang hindi na muling makapasok ng bansa.

Sa ngayon, nananatili ang dayuhan sa temporary custody ng Batangas provincial police habang hinihintay ang resulta ng COVID-19 swab test nito.
