Patay sa pamamaril ang 72 anyos na si Anakpawis Chairperson at NDFP Consultant Randall “Ka Randy” Echanis.
Kinumpirma ng Kabataan Partylist ang pagpanaw ni Echanis na pinagbabaril sa loob ng inuupahang bahay sa Novaliches, Quezon City.
Maliban kay Echanis isa pa ang nasawi sa naturang insidente.
Ayon kay dating Anakpawis representative Ariel Casilao, sumasailalim sa medical treatment si Echanis at hindi armado nang pasukin ng mga pulis ang kaniyang tahanan.
Kinondena ni Casilao ang pangyayari.
Kilala si Echanis sa pagsusulong ng agrarian reform.
Nagsilbi din siyang political consultant sa National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).
