Pilipinas prayoridad sa Anti-COVID vaccines dahil sa foreign policy ni Pangulong Duterte ayon kay Senator Go

Ibinahagi ni Senator Christopher Go na sumulat sa kanya si Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Igor Khovaev at ibinahagi ang positive development sa iniimbento nilang bakuna laban sa COVID 19.

Ayon kay Go, sa sulat ni Khovaev na may petsang Agosto 1, ibinahagi nito na malapit nang matapos ang produksyon ng kanilang bakuna at aniya natapos na ang clinical trials (Phase 3) nito.

“Tatlong bagay ang nasa offer ni Ambassador Khovaev. Una, na dito rin sa Pilipinas mag-conduct ng clinical trials. Magsu-supply din sila sa atin ng bakunang ito kontra COVID-19. At, pangatlo, plano nilang mag-set up ng local manufacturing dito mismo sa bansa natin,” sabi ni Go.

Ang bakuna ay may trade name na ‘Avigavir” at ito ay ginawa ng National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology sa ilalim ng pangalan na .F. Gamaleya ng Russian Ministry of Health.

Una nang matagumpay na nakagawa ang research center ng mga mabisang bakuna laban sa Ebola fever at Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus.

Ang mga ganitong alok sa Pilipinas, ayon kay Go, ay bunga ng independent foreign policy ni Pangulong Duterte, na nakasentro sa higit na kapakanan ng sambayanan.
