PNP, nakiramay sa mga naulila ni dating Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim
Nagpaabot ng pakikiramay ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa mga naulila ni dating Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his family and offer our comforting thoughts and prayers in this time of bereavement,” pahayag ng PNP Public Information Office (PIO).
Maliban sa pagiging alkalde, nagsilbi rin si Lim bilang senador at kalihim ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Pumanaw si Lim, araw ng Sabado (August 8), kasabay ng paggunita ng 119th Polife Service Anniversary sa bansa.
“He must be really destined to go this way in the name of the profession that he truly loved and cherished,” ayon pa sa PNP.
Sinabi rin ng pambansang pulisya na lagi nilang pasasalamatan ang naiwang legasiya ni Lim.
“His undying words: ‘The law applies to all, otherwise, none at all,’ reminds us that we live under a regime of law where the law is supreme, and nobody but nobody is above the law,” saad pa ng PNP.
