BOC, NBI nahuli ang notoryus na extortion money collector sa Maynila
Naaresto ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs – Intelligence Group (BOC-IG) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang kilalang notoryus na extortion money collector sa Malate, Manila.
Nakatanggap ng reklamo ukol sa aktibidad ng suspek sa pamamagitan ng 8484 text hotline ng ahensya.
Matapos mapatunayan ng Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (IG-CIIS) ang nakuhang impormasyon, nagsagawa ng entrapment operations laban sa isang “shonti” na nakilala bilang non-contractual handyman sa ahensya taong 2016.
Nahuli ang suspek nang kunin ang ginamit na P40,000 marked money sa operasyon.
Ilang broker, processors at importers ang inimbita sa NBI para sa isinasagawang imbestigasyon.
Tiniyak ng BOC na nananatili pa rin silang tapat sa kampanya para maalis ang korupsyon sa ahensya.
