Nananatiling COVID-19 free ang Batanes.
Ayon sa Provincial Government ng Batanes, ito ay matapos lumabas na negatibo sa swab test ang anim na suspect COVID-19 cases.
Sa nasabing bilang, lima ay naipadala sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine noong August 1 at isa naman sa TB Reference Laboratory – COVID Expert sa CHD Tuguegarao City.
Sa ngayon, isa lang ang binabantayang suspect COVID-19 case sa Batanes General Hospital.
Samantala, 87 naman ang local persons under monitoring na nakasailalim sa quarantine.
