Halos 1,000 pang COVID-19 cases, napaulat sa Singapore
Halos 1,000 ang panibagong naitalang kaso ng Coronavirus Disease o COVID-19 sa Singapore.
Batay sa anunsiyo, sinabi ng Ministry of Health sa Singapore na nakapagtala ng karagdagang 908 na kaso hanggang 12:00, Miyerkules ng tanghali (August 5).
Karamihan anila sa mga bagong kaso ay Work Permit holders na nakatira sa foreign worker dormitories.
Paliwanag ng Ministry of Health sa nasabing bansa, “Of these, the vast majority are dormitory residents who were tested during their isolation/quarantine period, even though they are asymptomatic. They are amongst the final batch of workers being cleared and they come from dormitories with a relatively high prevalence of COVID-19.”
“We expect the daily case counts to be high for the coming days, before tapering down thereafter as the Inter-Agency Taskforce completes the dormitory clearance,” dagdag pa nito.
Base sa imbestigasyon, apat ang naitala sa komunidad kung saan tatlo ang Singaporeans/Permanent Residents at isa ang Work Pass holder.
Maliban dito, mayroon pang apat na imported case na inilagay sa Stay-Home Notice o isolation pagkadating sa Singapore.
Sa ngayon, inaayos pa anila ang karagdagan pang detalye sa mga bagong kaso.
Sa kabuuan, pumalo na sa 54,254 ang confirmed COVID-19 cases sa Singapore.
