“LGU quarantine abuses” nais paimbestigahan ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros

Hiniling ni Senator Risa Hontiveros na maimbestigahan sa Senado ang mga pang-aabuso at ilegal na gawain ng ilang lokal na opisyal kaugnay sa pagpapatupad ng community quarantine protocols.

Kasunod ito ng ‘shoot to kill statement ni Ranulfo Ludovica, ang namumuno sa Quezon City Task Force Disiplina, sa mga lalabag sa quarantine rules nang ianunsiyo na balik-MECQ ang Metro Manila.

Sa kanyang Senate Resolutions No. 489, sinabi ni Hontiveros na iimbestigahan ang mga documented cases ng pang-aabuso ng ilang lokal na opisyal.

“Bakit pagpatay ang sagot sa isang health crisis? Our people are already suffering, and statements like that do not inspire confidence in our local leaders. I urge the Quezon City government to consider replacing Mr. Ludovica with someone who can actually help save, not harm, local residents,” aniya.

Binanggit pa ng senadora na noong Abril nasangkot din sa pambubugbog si Ludovica sa isang tindero ng isda dahil lang sa hindi pagsusuot ng mask.

Paalala pa nito ang mga paraan ng pagdidisiplina sa mga lumalabag sa protocols ay maaring paglabag na rin sa Saligang Batas at Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
