Koleksyon ng BIR sa mga cigarette manufacturers bumagsak sa P32B

Malaki ang ibinagsak ng koleksyon ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) sa mga buwis sa sigarilyo.

Sa pagdinig ng House Committee on Ways and Means aabot lamang sa P32B ang nakulekta ng BIR sa mga tobacco industries.

Sa pagtatanong ni Ways and Means Vice Chairman Sharon Garin, sinabi ng BIR na mula ito sa P132B noong taong 2019 at P124B naman noong 2018.

Ito anila ay para sa mga buwan ng Enero hanggang Hunyo.

Paliwanag naman ni BIR Director Beverly Milo, nagsara ang mga manufacturer ng sigarilyo matapos na matigil ang mga trabaho bunsod ng COVID-19 pandemic dahilan ng pagbagsak ng revenue.

Sabi ng BIR, Hunyo pa lamang muling nagbukas ang mga manufacturers ng sigarilyo at nakapagsimula ulit ng kanilang produksyon.
