PNP, handa na sa muling pag-iral ng MECQ sa NCR at ilang lugar

Handa na ang Philippine National Police sa muling pagpapatupad ng modifield enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) sa Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal at Bulacan simula sa araw ng Martes, August 4.

Ayon sa PNP Public Information Office, ipinag-utos na ni PNP Chief Police General Archie Gamboa sa lahat ng police commanders at units na magtalaga ng karagdagang checkpoints sa mga nabanggit na lugar.

“Our police units in the field are ready to set up more checkpoints in barangays and main thoroughfares as the NCR, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, and Bulacan reverted to MECQ from August 4 to 18 heeding the call of our medical frontliners,” pahayag ni Gamboa.

Tiniyak ng PNP chief na gagawin ng police frontliners ang lahat sa pamamagitan ng istriktong checkpoints operations upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19.

Sa pamamagitan ng Joint Task Force COVID Shield sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Police Lt. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, nag-deploy ng pwersa ng pulis para magbantay ng checkpoints para ipatupad ang MECQ guidelines.

Umapela rin si Gamboa sa publiko na makipagtulungan sa mga otoridad at manatili lamang sa bahay.

“We appeal to the public in areas under MECQ to stay at home. Ito ay bilang tulong na ninyo sa ating mga medical frontliner, police frontliner, at mga tanod at kawani ng barangay na halos limang buwan nang nakikipagbuno sa pandemya,” ani Gamboa.

“We are asking for your full cooperation, to help save lives and to ease the burden of your health and police frontliners,” dagdag pa nito.
