Salceda
“The immediate strategy, to me, seems obvious: the economic managers should give the public health managers all the resources they need to improve health outcomes, and the public health managers should do everything they can. Congress is prepared to do this,” saad ni Salceda.
“The rule of COVID-19 management is simple: build, build, build health capacity while a vaccine is not yet here,” giit pa ng economist solon.
Hinikayat din nito ang Department of Health na i-adopt ang mga nakapaloob sa Center for Disease Control Bill.
Sabi ni Salceda, “I ask the DOH to shape up. They must disprove the impression that they are merely reactive to developments by demonstrating to the public that they are in control of the situation. This will entail an honest reckoning with current shortcomings, and immediate efforts to improve in those areas. Nothing less will do.”
“Finally, I urge the Executive to apprise us, in Congress, fully of all the country’s needs. We have a strong sense of what our citizens need, from the desperate requests for help from our constituents. Apprise us of the needs, give us alternatives for solutions, identify the costs,” pagtatapos ni Salceda.
