MIAA, naghahanda na para sa pag-iral ng MECQ

Naghahanda na ang Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) para sa muling pag-iral ng Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) sa National Capital Region at ilan pang lugar.

Nakipagpulong si MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal sa ilang opisyal ng ahensya, araw ng Lunes (August 3).

Alinsunod sa IATF Omnibus Guidelines sa community quarantine, magpapatulad ang MIAA ng 50-percent workforce deployment sa back office work.

Hindi naman kasama sa nasabing direktiba ang mga empleyado na mayroong frontline duties kabilang ang mga nakatalaga sa flight operations, terminal monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, security, safety at emergency services.

Sinabi ni Monreal na tuloy pa rin ang full deployment ng mga tauhan ng janitorial companies at security guard na may kontrata sa MIAA.

Para matiyak ang tuloy na trabaho, magbibigay ang MIAA ng shuttle buses para magamit ng airport workers na may ruta sa Manila, Quezon City at Cavite.

“They are also provided free meals and hazard pay equivalent to P500 per day as maybe directed by the competent authority,” ayon pa sa MIAA.

Sa pulong naman kasama ang mga airline company, sinabihan ni Monreal ang local air carriers na ipagbigay-alam sa kanilang mga pasahero ang rebooking instructions kasunod ng pansamantalang suspensyon ng domestic flights palabas at papasok ng Maynila.
