Riders ng iba’t ibang logistics at courier companies dapat isailalim sa swab test

Hinikayat ni Ang Probinsyano Rep. Ronnie Ong sa mga logistics at courier service companies na isailalim sa COVID-test ang kanilang mga tauhan para maiwasan ang transmission ng nakahahawang sakit.

Ayon kay Ong na dapat isagawa ang COVID-test kada dalawang linggo ang riders ng mga logistics at courier service companies.

Dapat sagutin na rin aniya ng mga kompanya gaya ng Angkas, Lalamove, Joyride and Mr. Speedy abg rapid at RT-PCR tests ng kanilang mga riders.

“Their riders come in contact with hundreds of customers daily and handle daily essentials of the public from food items to personal packages. The companies should make sure that their riders are tested at least every 14 days to prevent possible carriers from spreading the virus further,” ani Ong.

Bukod dito, ipinatitiyak ng mambabatas sa mga nabanggit na kumpanya ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa kanilang mga empleyado na sasailalim sa quarantine at kung mahawa ang mga ito sa COVID-19.

“We recognize that our riders are our frontliners too — they help us get our food, our essential items and even our personal items conveniently from one point to another without us leaving the comforts of our homes. Thus, we also need to ensure that they are healthy,” giit ni Ong.

Pinapurihan naman nito ang Grab na nauna nang nagsabi na isasailalim sa free swab test ang kanilang mga riders.

Frontliners din kasi anya ng mga riders na nagdedeliver ng nga order na pagkain at produkto na nangangailangan din ng pagkalinga.
