P5-M halaga ng smuggled firecrackers, nai-turnover na ng BOC sa PNP

Nai-turnover na ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Manila ang mga smuggled firecrackers sa Philippine National Police – Firearms and Explosives Office sa Blasting Site sa bahagi ng Sta. Juana sa Capaz, Tarlac.

Naglalaman ang 40-foot container shipment ng mga ilegal na paputok na nagkakahalaga ng P5 milyon.

Naka-consign ang shipment sa Wealth Lotus Empire Corporation at unang idineklara bilang plastic bins.

Nilabag nito ang Republic Act 7183 o An Act Regulating the Sale, Manufacture, Distribution of Firecrackers and Other Pyrotechnic Devices and Section 1113 (f) ng Republic Act 10863 o CMTA (Property subject to Seizure and Forfeiture).

Inaprubahan ni POM District Collector Michael Angelo ang pag-turn over ng mga ilegal na paputok sa PNP-FEO.
