“We hear you”

Ito ang naging pahayag ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa mga hinaing at apela ng health workers sa gitna ng kinakaharap na COVID-19 pandemic.

Nangako ang kalihim na dadagdagan nila ang pagkilos para mas mapangalagaan ang medical workers.

“In response to your call, we commit to do more to “care of our carers” with detailed plans for support – from easier actions such as facilitating lodging, transportation, PPE, and food – to pushing for more systematic reforms on compensation and benefits, inclusing necessary network-based changes to healthcare practice,” ani Duque.

Makikipagtulungan din aniya ang DOH sa National Task Force (NTF) para epektibong maipatupad ang localized lockdowns.

Base sa mga nakuhang input sa kanilang plano, sinabi nito na magde-develop ang DOH ng istratehiya katuwang ang gobyerno at ilang non-government counterparts sa susunod na pitong araw.

Sinabi rin ni Duque na bilang kalihim ng DOH, ipiprisinta niya ang mga apela ng health workers sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID).

“We will bring it to the full attention of the IATF and present to them more comprehensive strategies to protect our ranks,” dagdag ng kalihim.

Nagpasalamat naman si Duque sa lahat ng health workers na nagsasakripisyo sa laban kontra COVID-19.
