Kape mula sa alamid, ko-kopyahin na ng DOST

Pinag-aaralan na ng mga siyentipiko dito sa Pilipinas kung paano gagayahin ang lasa ng pinaka-mahal na kape sa buong mundo – ang civet coffee.

Sinimulan na ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang research na nagla-layong malaman kung paano nagagawa ng civet cat o alamid ang masarap at in-demand na coffee beans.

Ibinahagi ni Science Sec. Mario Montejo sa Inquirer na inatasan na niya si Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) Director Mario Capanza na pag-aralan ang digestive system ng alamid at ang biological processes na dinadaanan ng coffee beans kaya kapag inilabas ito ng alamid ay nagiging masarap.

Nakuha ni Montejo ang ideya makaraang pag-aralan ang digestive process ng alamid nang bumisita siya sa South Cotabato bilang bahagi ng Science Nation Tour ng kagawaran.

Ani Montejo, para rin sa buong mundo ang kanilang isinasagawang pag-aaral.
