Bangko Sentral, naglabas ng mga bagong perang papel

Para sa pangangailangan ng mga may kapansanan sa paningin at matatanda na, inilunsad ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang mga bagong perang papel ng bansa.

Sinabi ni BSP Gov. Benjamin Diokno na ang mga bagong pera ay taglay ang pinakabagong ‘anti-counterfeiting technology.’

“To further promote inclusivity and integrity in our currency, the BSP also took an opportunity to further improve our banknotes as part of global best practices and, at the same time, improve on its design and security features,” sabi ni Diokno.

Huling naglabas ng bagong serye ng mga perang papel ang BSP noong Disyembre 2010 at ayon sa eksperto, kailangan ay binabago ang ‘security features’ kada dekada.

Paliwanag ni Diokno, may mga pahalang na linya sa magkabilang gilid ng pera at dalawang pares sa P50, dalawang pares sa P100, tatlong pares sa P200, apat na pares sa P500 at limang pares sa P1,000.

May idinagdag din na security features sa P500 at P1,000 para maging mahirap na itong mapeke.
