COVID-19 expenses pinasisilip ni Sen. Hontiveros at 6 pang senador

Naghain ng resolusyon si Senator Risa Hontiveros na humihiling sa Commission on Audit (CoA) na magsagawa ng special audit sa lahat ng ginasta ng gobyerno sa pagtugon sa COVID 19 crisis sa ilalim ng Bayanihan to Heal as One Act (Republic Act 11469).

Pumirma din sa Senate Resolution No. 479 sina Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto, Minority Leader Frank Drilon, at Sens. Sonny Angara, Panfilo Lacson, Francis Pangilinan, at Leila de Lima.

“Congress early this year, through the Bayanihan Act, gave the government comprehensive powers, including the power to re-align and allocate billions of taxpayers’ money to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Kailangan nating malaman kung ang tulong ba ay napunta para sa dapat tulungan,” sabi ni Hontiveros.

Sa resolusyon, binanggit ni Hontiveros ang pagbili ng gobyerno ng automated nucleic acid extractors ng P4 milyon gayun may nabili ang pribadong sektor na P1.75 milyon lang ang presyo.

Gayundin ang biniling PPE sets na P1,800 ang isa, ngunit may nagkakahalaga lang ng P400 hanggang P1,000 at ang pag-angkat ng mas mahal na RT – PCR test kits mula sa China at Korea gayung may mga Philippine-made na nakatambak lang sa mga laboratoryo.

Diin ng senadora hindi dapat maging maluwag sa pagbusisi sa paggasta ng pera ng bayan kahit may pandemiya para matiyak na hindi naibubulsa ang buwis mula sa mamamayan.

Inihirit din sa resolusyon na maiprisinta ng CoA sa Kongreso ang resulta ng special audit bago ang deliberasyon sa 2021 national budget.
