Pagtatatag ng National Disease Prevention and Management Authority pinamamadali ni Pangulong Duterte sa kongreso

Humihirit si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Kongreso na madaliin na ang pagpasa ng National Disease Prevention and Management Authority.

Ito ay para mabilis na makaaksyon ang pamahalaan kung saka sakaling mayroon pang outbreak sa bansa.

Ayon sa pangulo, hindi lang ang COVID-19 ang huling pandemya.

Umaasa ang Pangulo na makakukuha siya ng buong suporta sa Kongreso.

Habang wala pa ang National Disease Prevention and Management Authority, sinabi ng Pangulo na pag iigihan na lang muna ng Department of Health na masolusyunan ang problema sa COVID-19.

“COVID-19 will not only be the last pandemic. We need to create a National Disease Prevention and Management Authority to better respond to future outbreaks. We count on Congress’ full support. You can just let it remain for a while in the Department of Health kung wala pang pera but you have to expand the services or it will also entail a little bit of money but not really as much as expensive when you set up a department,”

Kasabay nito, humihirit din ang Pangulo sa Kongreso na ipasa ang Nursing Education Act pati na ang panukalang batas na magkaroon ng Medical Reserve Corps.
