Dalangin para kay Pangulong Duterte, hiling ng ilang kongresista sa publiko
Sa harap ng ika-limang State of the Nation Address ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, nanawagan si San Jose Del Monte Lone District Rep. Rida Robes na ipagdasal ang kapakanan ng Pangulo para maipagpatuloy at matapos nito ang pagsisilbi sa mga Filipino.
Dahil aniya sa COVID-19 pandemic ay nagkaroon ng new normal ang daigdig kung saan nasusukat ang katatagan at kapabilidad ng isang lider sa buong mundo.
Sabi ni Robes, “It is in this light that I pray for President Duterte’s well-being to continue serving the Filipino people.Time and time again, we, Filipinos, have manifested our resiliency and robustness in facing all the hurdles in our country, whether it be a tropical storm, flood, landslide, or any type of catastrophe”.
Patuloy din aniya itong nagdadala ng anxiety sa publiko.
Hiniling din nito sa publiko na ipamalas ang katatagan at bayanihan sa COVID-19 tulad sa mga nagdaang kalamidad na tumama sa bansa.
“I call upon my kababayans to manifest the same level of endurance when combatting COVID-19. I have faith that we can best heal through ensuring that our actions are offered toward the spirit of bayanihan”, dagdag ni Robes.
Samantala, ayon kay TUCP Partylist Rep. Raymond Democrito Mendoza, umaasa siya na kasama sa SONA ng Pangulo mamaya ang pagkakaroon ng “massive job generation” upang maibsan ang naging epekto ng COVID-19 pandemic sa trabaho at kahirapan ng mga Filipino.
Para kay Mendoza, hindi na kakailanganin pa ng panibagong plano para sa paglikha ng maraming trabaho kundi kailangan lamang matiyak na ang kasalukuyang proyekto tulad ng ‘Build, Build, Build Program’ at iba pang legacy projects ni Pangulong Duterte gaya ng development at industrialization sa mga kanayunan ay magreresulta ng mas marami pang oportunidad sa mga Filipinong nawalan ng hanapbuhay.
Umaasa ang kongresista na bibigyang direktiba ni Pangulong Duterte sa kanyang SONA ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Transportation (DOTr) at Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para masiguro ang job creation sa mga apektado ng pandemya.
